Our designers Sarah and Katie attended several talks as part of the lightspace programme at LuxLive yesterday. Sarah says “I particularly found the talk by Ben Adams on why it’s easier to get a Landscape Architect rather than a Lighting Designer appointed on a project interesting. He pointed out that lighting design isn’t necessarily seen as an essential part of the design of a project, rather in the way that Landscape Designers were seen as gardeners in the past – this is something that the industry needs to address.” For further information on Ben’s talk see the August article in Lighting magazine.

re:light is delighted to have been appointed as lighting designers for Blum UK, a multi-national firm who produce high-end kitchen fittings. Blum UK’s existing offices in Milton Keynes are being remodelled and extended to provide a showcase facility which will include an interactive marketing centre for buyers and end-users. Exciting work ahead!
