The Brief
Re:light was part of a design team tasked with remodelling a dark and gloomy manor house into a modern family home. The design not only had to be sympathetic to the style and age of the property, incorporating a sense of mood and drama, but had to comply with Part L of the building regulations.
The Site
Originally built in the 1630s the manor house is a grade II listed building nestled in the beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside. It is set in a substantial estate comprising 39 acres of rolling parkland, a stable yard and lakes.
