The Brief
Seco Tools global headquarters in Sweden was to have a major renovation – and as a key part of this, it was deemed vital to build a new marketing and training centre. As with other Seco projects the design was to reflect their strong and innovated engineering background. The lighting design was to be strongly architectural without being overstated.
The Site
The headquarters includes a research and development centre with a large manufacturing facility, and is situated in Fagersta, about 150km north of Stockholm. The majority of the massive site had not been updated since the 1970s.
